Nishi Display Suite

The Nishi Display Suite is a new destination in Canberra’s New Acton Precinct designed to encapsulate the ethos of Molonglo Group’s new Nishi development.  DesignOffice worked in collaboration with the client and Clear to conceive   a display suite which would showcase the environmental, social, physiological and financial attributes of Nishi.

Comprising over 200 apartments, a hotel, restaurants, retail opportunities, a cinema and the offices for the DCCEE, Nishi  looks to make a big contribution to Canberra.  The building was designed by Fender Katsalidas Architects with apartment interiors by Suppose Design Office and landscape design by Oculus.

The display suite opens to the gardens of New Acton with a library and curated retail space.  Beyond this, a series of 4no. ‘Proofpoints’, designed with local creatives Bigfish, to encapsulate and animate the attributes of Nishi living.

Hand-made architectural models, large scale floorplans of the apartments and a curated collection of new and vintage furniture complete the display suite experience.

We are excited to be continuing our work at New Acton, working with film obsessives Palace Cinemas to design their new 8-screen cinema at Nishi.
